Grace supports each young person to understand their profile of strengths and weaknesses, to nurture and develop their strengths and use these to support their weaknesses and build up a toolbox of strategies and techniques.
As a result of her research, Grace is witnessing the effectiveness of teaching resilience and coping skills, particularly to those with a specific learning difference. It develops metacognition, a stronger self-efficacy and self-acceptance, enabling a young person to go forward in their learning and life with greater confidence and in a better position to manage anxiety and face the difficulties and challenges encountered.
